We have designed DateTec websites to be accessible to everybody. The information below will help you make some simple changes to your computer to make browsing easier.

Using our website

We are always looking for ways to make our websites and online services even easier to use, and wherever possible, we follow the guidelines developed by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI): and the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB).

Changing your computer settings

To make browsing the internet a better experience, there are lots of changes you can make to your computer. By changing the options in your internet browser, you can change the way you view, hear or use a website.
For some excellent advice and information on changing your browser settings for Windows, Mac and Linux, take a look at the following website which has been developed by the BBC and AbilityNet.

Navigating our website

We have tried to make it as easy as possible to navigate your way around our website and find the information that you are looking for. If you need any further help please use our site map or get in touch with us using our Contact Us page.

Reading text on a screen can prove difficult or tiring even for fully-sighted people, so we have chosen an easy-to-see web colour scheme and a clear font type, size and colour.

If you use a screen reader

We have designed our websites to work both with screen readers and traditional browsers. We use text (in ALT tags) to describe images. We use descriptive links (for example «More about DateTec» instead of simply «Click here») so you know where the link takes you, and we don’t use frames which are difficult for screen readers and special browsers to interpret.
