Inside headers add another level of customisablity to the DateTec
system, using these allows you to create brand new pages for your
website and specify the content yourself or even add images / text /
links to existing pages!
Note: Webpages are shown in the following order:
Main Website Header
Inside Header page - Header
DateTec generated content
Inside Header page - Footer
Main Website Footer
Existing Inside Headers
The first page you are shown is table of your existing
inside headers. Each inside header has options to allow
you to edit the contents or delete them completely.
Note: All inside headers are listed without file
extensions, by default the pages use the
PHP
extension.
Creating New Inside Headers
If you want to add more content to your website then this is the
way you can do it. For example you want to create a links page
for adult shops; simply enter a name into the text box at the
bottom (i.e. adultstores) and click on the 'new header' button.
This will now take you an editing page, letting you put
HTML code
in for new content, so for this example you would put some
formatting and link code.
Once you are happy with the
HTML then
click on the 'Update' button. This will save the code, to return
to the main inside header page click on the return link.
To view the inside header you just created (adultstores) then
simply go to http://yourwebsite/adultstores.php
Note: Google sitemap verification files use the
HTML
extension (i.e.
http://yourwebsite/GOOGLE4e18eeabc8899c41.html)
Creating Inside Headers For Existing Pages
If you want to add some specific text to one of the pre-existing
DateTec content pages then this can also be done via Inside
Headers.
In this example we will cover adding a welcome image the logged
in front page of your site (region_main.php). Firstly you
will need to create the inside header, so type region_main as
the name and click 'new header'.
You will now be shown an editing screen, here you can enter the
code for your welcome image. Once you have done this then click
on 'Update'. Now when you login to your site you will see the
image you added just above the main content.
