The banner wizard allows you to quickly create a basic image (a
gif) banner file
which you can then use. The wizard breaks the creation process down into
easy steps.
Welcome Page
This page gives a brief explanation of the wizard and
displays any existing banners that might be present for
the site that you have chosen.
By clicking the 'Yes' button in the start wizard will
take you into the first page of the wizard.
Note: Please enusre that your browser cache is
setup correctly.
Selecting Your Banner Background
This page lets you choose an image to be used as the main
background of your banner.
Selecting a Left Hand Image
This page displays all available left hand images to go with
your banner background. Once you have decided which image you
want to use on the left hand side, just click on the 'Use this
image' link below it.
Selecting a Right Hand Image
This page displays a list of the available right hand images,
overlayed against your current choice of image (background and
left hand side). Once you have decided which image you want to
use on the right hand side, just click on the 'Use this image'
link below it.
Selecting Site Name Text Styles
As part of the banner wizard program your site name will be put
onto the resulting banner. This page allows you to change the
font size, style and colour that will be used for your site
name. The preview image gives you an idea of what the sitename
would look like.
Positioning Your Text
After you have selected the style for your sitename text you now
select where on the image you want it to appear. This is done by
clicking with your mouse onto the image where you want the left
hand side of the text to start.
Accept this Image?
At this point in the wizard you can either click finish (which
will complete the process and give link to download the image)
or click 'add more text' which will take you to another screen
to let you put more text on the image.
Additional Text
This page gives you a box to enter the text you want to use on
your image along with the style options from the previous page
and a preview of the text style.
Clicking on the continue button will take you to another
position text screen. From here you can keep adding more text
until you are satisfied with the image.
