Please remember you don't have to do any of this customisation
work if you don't want to. Your site will be fully operational and look
good without making any changes at all. This is for Advanced Users who
wish to take the custom process further.
Remember you pay nothing for our sites so you could set up your basic

Customise your DateTec site to give it an individual look.
DateTec offers a wide range of site styles and templates which allow
web masters like yourself to select a look for your site which you think
is most appropriate.
This is all well and good, but we get requests from time to time asking
how to go about customising the look and feel of the site.
Access for all levels
DateTec utilises a modular, customisable system in
which web masters of varying ability are able to customise the look and
feel of their site. This ranges from changing images in the pre-set
templates to completely changing the site's look, feel and functionality
by using your own custom HTML code.
This tutorial assumes that you have a basic familarity with html. You

Let's Begin
Apply Template
For this tutorial we will be editing the
'gloss red' site template from the 'gloss' range.
The 'gloss' range of templates provide us with a good starting
point from which to edit a site as there are more graphics used in the
design than in the other templates; hence more opportunities to
customise and add your own bespoke style.
Step 1:1
Select the 'site
design' option from the left hand menu.
Step 1:2
Select the 'apply this design'
option from below the image.
This does exactly what it says on the tin and applys the above
design to your site.
Step 1:3
Confirm that you want to apply
this design by clicking on the blue link.
Switching to Advanced Mode
Switch your site admin area to 'Advanced mode'
The next step of this tutorial takes place
in the advanced section of the site admin area
Step 2:1
Switch to advanced mode by
clicking on the 'Advanced Mode' link from the left hand menu.
Step 2:2
When in advanced mode, the word
'Advanced mode' will be displayed at the top of the left-hand
menu.
